Metal alloy parts produced with the Selective Laser Melting (SLM) method must be subjected to heat treatment under vacuum after production in order to eliminate the stresses, phase changes and other negative features that occur in the structure due to excessive heating and cooling during the process. DURACERAM MICRO BOND minimizes the need for vacuum by preventing oxidation and decarburization by coating the material surface during the application of heat treatment after production. It does not create thickness on the surface of the part and does not cause dimensional changes. It does not need to be removed from the surface after heat treatment.
